Job Overview
Tomato Tomahto a new Italian bakery in Margaretville NY. We are looking for a counter barista who can make a range of coffee drinks and take food orders. The wages are minimum tip-wage plus tips which results in 20-25 per hour on average. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and efficiently
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure swift processing
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Create coffee beverages
- Package food to go
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Maintain sanitation and food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling, sanitation protocols, and kitchen procedures
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure seamless service flow
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant environments, or hospitality roles with a focus on guest relations
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
