ISAT Total Support /Tomarco is a leading provider of seismic engineering consulting services, and the related products and hardware used for nonstructural seismic bracing and the support of Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping systems. Our focus is geared toward building utility systems within the commercial and industrial construction markets. Our primary focus includes but is not limited to, HVAC, mechanical, piping, distributed electrical systems, plumbing, process piping & fire protection contractors.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Purchasing Logistics Specialist will be responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing the logistics process to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement and delivery of materials. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, fabrication, and project management teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
- Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies in alignment with project requirements and company standards.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing, quality assurance, and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate logistics, including shipping, receiving, and distribution of materials to various branches and project sites.
- Track inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure adequate stock availability.
- Review and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
- Monitor open orders and resolve discrepancies or delays with suppliers and freight carriers.
- Prepare and maintain purchasing and logistics records, reports, and documentation.
- Support cost-control initiatives by identifying opportunities for savings in procurement and transportation.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to align purchasing and delivery schedules with project deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or logistics (construction or manufacturing industry preferred).
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of shipping methods, freight coordination, and logistics are best practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
