Service Supervisor

The Service Supervisor supports front-end operations by assisting with customer service, cashier oversight, service desk functions, and daily store execution. This position helps ensure a smooth and efficient checkout experience, resolves customer concerns, supports front-end associates, and promotes a positive shopping environment. The Service Supervisor serves as a leader on duty and helps maintain company standards for service, productivity, and safety.

• Assist with daily supervision of front-end operations, including checkout lanes, self-checkout, and service desk activities.
• Monitor customer traffic and staffing levels to ensure efficient service.
• Provide support for cashier overrides, returns, refunds, exchanges, and customer transactions.
• Ensure front-end areas remain clean, organized, and customer-ready.
• Support daily operational goals and service standards.

• Deliver exceptional customer service and promote a positive shopping experience.
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Assist with complex customer transactions and service-related issues.
• Build customer loyalty through positive interactions and problem resolution.
• Ensure customer service standards are consistently maintained throughout the front end.

• Provide direction, coaching, and support to cashiers and front-end associates.
• Assist with training new employees on customer service standards and procedures.
• Monitor associate performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional conduct.
• Serve as a leader on duty and provide operational support when management is unavailable.

• Assist with cash accountability procedures, register audits, and till balancing.
• Ensure compliance with company cash-handling policies and procedures.
• Support loss prevention initiatives and identify potential areas of concern.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling financial transactions.
• Ensure proper documentation of refunds, voids, and other transactional activities.

• Promote a safe environment for customers and associates.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Identify and report safety hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Support emergency response procedures when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout customer service areas.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail, customer service, cash handling, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and leadership skills.
• Effective communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer, cash-handling, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25-50 pounds.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and repetitive movements.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to move throughout various store departments as needed.
