Position Purpose
The Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising front-end operations and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the store. This position leads front-end associates, oversees daily service execution, maintains operational controls, and supports achievement of service, sales, labor, and customer satisfaction goals.
Key Responsibilities Front-End Operations
- Supervise daily front-end operations, including checkout lanes, customer service desk activities, and courtesy services.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained to support customer demand.
- Monitor checkout performance and customer wait times.
- Coordinate front-end activities to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Support execution of company programs, promotions, and service initiatives.
- Lead, train, coach, and develop cashiers, courtesy clerks, and front-end associates.
- Provide daily direction and assign work responsibilities.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.
- Assist with onboarding and ongoing associate development.
- Support performance management and recognition initiatives.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and lead by example.
- Resolve customer concerns, complaints, and service issues promptly and professionally.
- Assist customers with returns, exchanges, refunds, and other service-related requests.
- Promote customer loyalty programs and store services.
- Foster a welcoming and positive shopping environment.
- Oversee compliance with company cash-handling procedures.
- Monitor register operations, till accountability, cash pickups, and reconciliation processes.
- Support loss prevention initiatives and operational audits.
- Investigate and report cash discrepancies according to company guidelines.
- Ensure operational controls are consistently maintained.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Monitor adherence to age-restricted sales requirements and customer service policies.
- Promote workplace safety and maintain a clean, organized front-end environment.
- Assist with regulatory compliance and operational audits as required.
- Support achievement of department sales, labor, productivity, and customer service goals.
- Monitor front-end efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist leadership with labor management and scheduling recommendations.
- Support execution of initiatives designed to improve profitability and customer satisfaction.
