Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development
- Assist in directing, coaching, and developing department managers and store associates.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, diversity, and inclusion.
- Provide ongoing performance coaching and feedback to associates and department leaders.
- Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts.
- Assist in developing future leaders through training and succession planning initiatives.
- Champion outstanding customer service throughout the store.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
- Ensure all departments maintain high service standards and operational excellence.
- Support community engagement and customer loyalty initiatives.
- Assist in achieving store sales, profit, labor, and expense goals.
- Analyze sales trends and operational reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support execution of action plans that drive business results.
- Monitor labor utilization, shrink, inventory levels, and controllable expenses.
- Supervise daily store operations and ensure execution of company standards.
- Coordinate activities among departments to achieve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with merchandising, replenishment, pricing, and promotional programs.
- Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, and presentation standards.
- Promote a safe working and shopping environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and workplace standards.
- Support asset protection initiatives and shrink reduction programs.
- Address operational or compliance concerns in a timely manner.
- Assist with implementation of merchandising plans and seasonal programs.
- Ensure proper product assortment, freshness, and in-stock conditions.
- Support department managers in maximizing sales opportunities.
- Monitor execution of promotions and display programs.
- Assume overall responsibility for store operations during the absence of the Store Director.
- Make operational decisions to ensure continuity of business operations.
- Serve as the primary leadership contact for associates, customers, and external partners when acting in the Store Director role.
