Duties
- Manage all phases of civil litigation cases, including case evaluation, pleadings, discovery, motions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity.
- Advise clients on options and potential outcomes.
- Negotiate settlements effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and administrative hearings with confidence and professionalism.
- Maintain meticulous case records and ensure compliance with all procedural rules and deadlines.
- Collaborate with support staff to manage legal administrative tasks efficiently and uphold the highest standards of client service.
Skills
- 5 years of civil litigation experience and extensive knowledge of civil litigation procedures
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms for in-depth legal analysis.
- Excellent legal drafting abilities with attention to detail in pleadings and discovery documents.
- Proven negotiation skills to facilitate settlements that align with client goals.
