Immigration Attorney

ASSOCIATE IMMIGRATION ATTORNEY

Our firm is seeking an Immigration Attorney that has 0-3 years of experience who have a strong interest and desire to work in immigration.

Our ideal candidate is intelligent, positive, highly-organized and detail-oriented, compassionate, team-oriented, and ambitious. The candidate must also have strong writing abilities, oral advocacy skills, be proactive, and willing to learn.

We are willing to train a lawyer with no experience in Immigration Law that has an absolute desire to practice this area of law.

Responsibilities include:

Representing clients before the Immigration Court, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Customs and Border Protection, and the Board of Immigration Appeals;

• Preparing and drafting applications/petitions for immigration benefits before USCIS and EOIR;
• Representing clients before the Immigration Court
• Advising and counseling clients on possible avenues of relief;
• Researching case law, writing motions and memorandums,
• Representing clients in family-based applications, consular processing and other cases;
• Provide advice and representation to immigrants who are seeking immigration relief in the form of Asylum, SIJ, VAWA, Family-Based Petitions, U-Visa, T-Visa, Cancellation of Removal, and Waivers before the Immigration Court and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
• Write Motions to Reopen and Appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals
• Write and Draft Motions to Vacate Criminal Convictions
• Working collaboratively with our team; and

Additional responsibilities will be appearing before the Family and Probate Court on Complaints for Dependency for our SIJ clients.

Candidates must have a current bar membership in good standing for any state in the United States or the District of Columbia. We will give preference to candidates that have a bar membership in Massachusetts in order to practice before the family and probate court as well as District & Superior Court. We will give a preference to candidates with Spanish or Portuguese language skills.

Salary is dependent on experience.
