Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to maximize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and provide accurate information about the restaurant’s offerings and wait times
- Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their dining experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area and waiting area
- Collaborate closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and welcoming demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in food service or restaurant operations is highly desirable
- Ability to handle phone etiquette professionally and manage guest relations effectively
- Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not required
- Ability to remain energetic, organized, and attentive during busy service hours
