The Workz is a family owned one stop destination for everyone. We have a restaurant, bar and arcade that has video games as well as bowling lanes. We host live bands on the weekends and always have something exciting going on! We are open Wednesday-Sunday
We are seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team as a Host/Host. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a positive experience for all patrons. If you have excellent communication skills, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for delivering top-notch customer service, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Greet guests as they arrive and seat them at their designated tables
- Provide menus and assist with any questions or special requests
- Manage waitlists and reservations to ensure efficient seating
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Collaborate with the waitstaff to ensure smooth dining experiences for guests
- Handle phone calls with professionalism and assist callers with inquiries or reservations
- Monitor dining areas to ensure timely seating and efficient table turnover
- Assist in coordinating special events or private parties as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in guest relations or customer service is preferred
- Knowledge of restaurant or hotel operations is a plus
- Familiarity with TOAST or similar point-of-sale systems is beneficial
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are essential
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to help out in other areas of the restaurant as needed
