Overview
We are seeking dependable and flexible On-Call Support Staff to provide classroom coverage during staff absences. This role is ideal for individuals who are responsive, adaptable, and enjoy working in a structured early childhood environment.
Priority will be given to candidates with open availability and the ability to respond to early morning coverage needs. On-Call Support Staff are contacted as needed and are expected to step in to maintain continuity of care and classroom operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and attentive supervision of children
- Support daily classroom routines and transitions
- Maintain a structured and positive learning environment
- Follow all center policies and licensing requirements
- Adapt quickly to different classrooms and age groups
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in early childhood education settings such as daycare centers or private schools.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsive to communication
- Ability to work on short notice
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques tailored for young learners and behavior management strategies.
