Duties
- Perform welding tasks on different metal materials using various welding techniques to meet project specifications.
- Fabricate metal components and structures according to engineering drawings and technical instructions.
- Fit and assemble fabricated parts accurately, ensuring proper alignment and secure connections.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the appropriate materials and methods.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot fabrication issues and improve processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols related to working with metals and welding equipment.
Experience
- Proven experience working with metal materials in a welding, fabrication, or fitting role.
- Mechanical knowledge related to the assembly of metal structures or components.
- Familiarity with different welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or arc welding is preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
