Job Summary
Todd's Welding Service is seeking an Equipment Operator/Driver. Experience operating heavy equipment and a Class B CDL (with air brakes) required; Class A CDL preferred. This is a full time position that will include snow plowing in the winter months, weekends and holidays as needed. The ideal candidate will possess equipment operating experience, driving experience and winter snow removal experience. Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks and heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, excavators, and skid steers
- Perform commercial and/or residential winter snow-plowing operations
- Safely operate snowplows, loaders, and other winter maintenance equipment
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain required documentation as needed
- Transport materials and equipment as needed
- Perform basic daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
- Work independently while communicating effectively with supervisors and team members
- Respond to changing weather conditions and winter storm schedules
- Follow all DOT regulations, company safety procedures, and customer requirements
- Assist with other shop, welding, trucking, or outdoor work when needed
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class B (with air brakes) required, Class A preferred
- Previous equipment operating experience and commercial driving experience
- Previous residential and commercial snow-plowing experience
- Clean driving record
- Strong commitment to safety and responsible equipment operation
- Dependable and willing to work flexible hours during winter weather events
- Able to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary
- Ability to work outdoors in cold and changing weather conditions
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to perform basic equipment inspections and identify potential mechanical issues
- Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to be part of a team
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
