Young Preschool Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, experience with classroom management, and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves developing age-appropriate curricula, fostering social and emotional growth, and supporting early childhood development through innovative teaching methods.

Duties

• Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori techniques.
• Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, exploration, and social interaction among preschool children.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
• Assess individual student progress through observations and standardized testing to tailor instruction accordingly.
• Support children’s developmental milestones in areas such as language acquisition, motor skills, and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address individual needs.
• Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques when necessary to support diverse learners.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes safety and learning engagement.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in childhood education.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; private school experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and Montessori methods preferred.
• Background in special education, early intervention, or child welfare is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods for early learners.
• Certification or degree in early childhood education or related field is preferred; CDA credential is a plus.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
