Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori techniques.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, exploration, and social interaction among preschool children.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
- Assess individual student progress through observations and standardized testing to tailor instruction accordingly.
- Support children’s developmental milestones in areas such as language acquisition, motor skills, and emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address individual needs.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques when necessary to support diverse learners.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes safety and learning engagement.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in childhood education.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; private school experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and Montessori methods preferred.
- Background in special education, early intervention, or child welfare is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods for early learners.
- Certification or degree in early childhood education or related field is preferred; CDA credential is a plus.
