Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Arrive on time when contacted for weekend event assignments, ready for service.
Assist in setting up banquet or catering event rooms, including arranging tables and chairs, linens, flatware, glassware, decor, and buffet or station setups as required.
Serve food and beverages (plated, buffet, or stations) to guests in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
Circulate with trays of appetizers or drinks when required.
Maintain awareness of guest needs: refill water, clear plates, address requests, and accommodate special dietary needs.
Collaborate with the kitchen, bar, and service team to ensure smooth event execution.
Assist with breakdown after service: clearing tables, stacking chairs/tables, removing linens, bussing dishes, cleaning service areas, and returning equipment.
Adhere to hygiene and safety guidelines.
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
Wear all black clothing (black shirt, black pants, closed-toe shoes) for every shift.
Please communicate your availability in advance and be reachable when on call for weekend shifts.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in banquet, catering, restaurant, or event service is a plus.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
Physical stamina to lift/move up to 25-50 lbs and set up/break down event spaces.
Reliable transportation to/from the job site in the Houston area.
Food handler certification preferred but not required.
Professional appearance and ability to follow dress/uniform standards.
Bilingual preferred.
