Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing friendly, efficient service
- Handle retail sales transactions using POS systems, ensuring accurate cash handling and POS operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and hygiene standards are met
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as flatbreads , sandwiches & other light food items as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service standards
Requirements
- Prior barista experience or café experience is preferred but not required; a passion for coffee and serving others is essential
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Clover for retail sales transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in the food industry or retail sales environment is a plus but not mandatory
