Barista/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Baristas / Cashiers/ Smoothie Makers to join our team in creating a welcoming café environment. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items while ensuring the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.

Duties

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Assist with food preparation, including pastries, sandwiches, and snacks, ensuring freshness and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and workspaces.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash transactions while ensuring accuracy in retail math for sales.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, restocking as necessary.
• Adhere to all food handling safety regulations and guidelines to ensure customer safety.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment operation.
• Experience in food handling and food service is preferred.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during peak hours.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
• Previous experience in retail or café settings is a plus but not required.
