What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Manager position at Toadflax Nursery?
As Landscape Manager, you will work closely with our Landscape Design team ensuring accuracy, timeliness and completion of projects to meet contract specifications and customer vision.
This position will require overseeing projects from the initial design through project completion, ensuring every detail meets our high standards. You will lead crews in the field and manage the financial side of operations, including accurate billing and client account management. This leadership position will ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with the quality expected that keeps clients coming back year after year.
Day to Day Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple landscaping projects, from initial planning to final walkthrough.
- Manage and mentor field crews, ensuring safety, efficiency, and exceptional workmanship.
- Coordinate with designers, suppliers, and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule.
- Handle client communications, providing updates, resolving concerns, and building trust.
- Prepare, review, and process accurate billing for all projects, including progress invoices and final statements.
- Track project budgets, expenses, and profitability, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company quality standards.
- Use landscape management software to schedule work, track progress, and maintain records.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience in landscape management, including installation and maintenance projects.
- Strong knowledge of plant care, irrigation systems, and sustainable landscaping practices.
- Experience with billing, invoicing, and budget tracking.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in financial documentation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between job sites.
