Duties
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to ensure top performance
- Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food presentation to meet quality standards and safety regulations
- Manage daily operations including shift management, customer service delivery, and ensuring smooth workflow in the kitchen and front-of-house
- Control inventory levels through accurate stock management using POS systems such as Square. Minimizing waste and controlling costs
- Handle cash transactions accurately, reconcile registers, and ensure compliance with cash handling procedures
- Maintain food safety standards by enforcing proper food handling practices and adhering to health regulations
- Conduct staff training sessions on food production techniques, customer service skills, and safety protocols to foster continuous improvement
- Monitor restaurant performance metrics, prepare reports on sales, expenses, and labor costs to support strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with culinary teams on menu development, catering events, banquet services, or special promotions to enhance guest experience
- Help Serve at local farmers markets
Requirements
- Proven management experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management practices
- Experience with POS systems such as Square for order processing and sales tracking
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality management and guest satisfaction
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively through training & development initiatives
- Familiarity with inventory control procedures and food safety regulations in the food industry
- Ability to handle cash accurately while managing shift operations efficiently
- Previous experience in fine dining or casual dining settings is highly desirable
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, motivate staff, and foster a positive work environment
- Knowledge of budgeting processes within a hospitality setting along with experience in food management and cost control
- Strong communication skills for interviewing candidates and conducting staff evaluations
- Kitchen experience coupled with culinary expertise is preferred for overseeing food production standards
