Our Child Nutrition staff play an integral part in serving our mission to continuously improve meals and services to meet nutritional requirements, provide a variety of menu items, and give the healthiest choices with the freshest ingredients available. As a General Worker, you would have the opportunity to share these improvements firsthand with the students of our District through the preparation and serving of our meals.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION LEVEL: |
High school diploma |

EXPERIENCE DESIRED: |
One to three years’ experience in similar position |

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: |
Post-offer physical (funded by the District) required prior to starting position. Requires constant hearing, hand-eye coordination, mind-eye coordination; intermittent keyboarding, sitting and lifting. Frequent repetitive motions with wrists, hands, fingers, standing, walking, and carrying. |

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: |
Required to attend certification courses offered by CANS before or after hiring. Previous institutional quantity preparation of food service experience 1 to 3 years preferred. |
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
- Supervises and assists in training and scheduling staff.
- Orders all food and equipment.
- Receives and stores food and supplies.
- Assists in production as needed.
- Keeps production and participation records.
- Maintains safety and sanitation procedures.
- Adheres to District guidelines.
- Liaison between students, teachers and building administration.
- Evaluates staff.
- Performs lunchbox duties as needed.
- Completes daily deposits.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

PAY INFORMATION
Level L, starting at $24.06 per hour
2025-2026 Classified Staff Salary Schedule
Pay Day: Last working day of each month.
HOURS & FTE
Monday through Friday
1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, 9 months
