Extended School Year Teachers
- (8-10) K-12 teachers

Description-Program provides instruction to students to maintain identified maintenance of reading, writing, math and social skill IEP specific goals for students K-12. PA Certification in Elementary/Secondary or Early Childhood Certification, Special Education and current clearances. The program runs June 29-July 30 every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30AM-12:00PM for students and 8:15AM-12:15PM for staff. Participation in pre-program training and post-program training is required. Non-contractual. Compensation will be TBD per the PGEA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Preferred PA Special Education, Elementary/Secondary Certification and current clearances; however, non-certified staff are also encouraged to apply.
Duties-
- Deliver, with fidelity, and teach instructional services to students as per their prescribed IEP needs
- Complete ongoing weekly progress monitoring data toward IEP goals
- Communicate daily with families regarding learning activities and students' progress.
- Implement student positive behavior support plans.
- Complete end of ESY report of maintenance sheets that will be shared with families and teachers for the coming school year.
- Collaborate with related service and para professionals assigned to support students.
- Support the adaptive/functional and self care needs of students.
- Participate in any training to support student needs.
Program Information:
Teacher set-up days and hours: 6 hours prior to ESY start date
Teacher close-up days and hours: 6 hours post ESY end date
