Overview:
TNT Heating & Air is seeking an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Technician to service, diagnose, and repair refrigeration systems for restaurants, grocery stores, commercial kitchens, and more. You'll work with walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, display cases, and other essential equipment-keeping our clients running at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair commercial refrigeration equipment including walk-ins, reach-ins, prep tables, and ice machines
- Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on refrigeration systems
- Replace compressors, TXVs, fans, controls, refrigerant lines, and electrical components
- Charge systems and test for proper pressure and performance
- Identify and document potential issues before breakdowns occur
- Maintain a clean and stocked service vehicle with essential parts and tools
- Provide clear and professional communication with clients and dispatch team
- Recommend equipment upgrades, energy-saving solutions, and maintenance agreements
- Adhere to all EPA and safety regulations for refrigerant handling
- Assist in mentoring junior techs as needed and represent TNT professionally on every job
Qualifications:
- 3 years of commercial refrigeration experience
- Strong knowledge of low-temp and medium-temp systems
- EPA Universal Certification required
- Ability to work independently and efficiently diagnose issues
- Familiar with major brands such as Manitowoc, Hoshizaki, True, Turbo Air, etc.
- Comfortable working in hot, cold, and tight environments
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
