Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration systems across commercial and residential properties. Your mechanical expertise and field service experience will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and safety. Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to prevent failures and extend system lifespan.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting, drainage, and refrigerant line installation.
- Use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters to test electrical components and ensure proper system operation.
- Repair ammonia refrigeration systems and handle refrigerants in compliance with safety standards.
- Operate welding equipment for custom fabrication or repair of HVAC components when necessary.
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs for all work performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during field service activities and property maintenance tasks.
- Assist in HVAC system design modifications or upgrades based on client needs or new technology advancements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R or related mechanical fields with a strong understanding of construction principles.
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design concepts, plumbing systems, refrigeration processes, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- Hands-on experience with appliance repair, boiler operation, welding, and equipment repair is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with property maintenance experience to handle diverse technical challenges effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a
driver vehicle safely across various sites. - Strong field service skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
