Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist with expertise in Inventory Management and Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP). This role requires advanced computer and analytical skills to drive process improvement, optimize inventory levels, develop and track KPIs, and support cross-functional alignment between sales, operations, and finance.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize inventory across plants, warehouses, and distribution centers.
- Develop, track, and report KPIs such as inventory turns, Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO), aged/obsolete stock, and service level performance.
- Recommend strategies to reduce excess and obsolete inventory while maintaining high service levels.
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and alignment with financial objectives.
- Collaborate with Sales department to establish distressed inventory depletion strategies.
SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning)
- Lead/support the monthly SIOP cycle: demand review, supply review, and executive alignment.
- Provide data-driven insights to balance supply and demand while identifying risks and opportunities.
- Partner with sales, operations, and finance to improve forecast accuracy and capacity utilization.
- Develop reporting tools to track forecast vs. actuals, demand trends, and business plan performance.
Analytics & Systems
- Build and maintain dashboards/reports using Excel, ERP/MRP systems.
- Automate reporting processes and improve visibility into supply chain KPIs.
- Conduct root cause analysis on variances and provide actionable recommendations.
- Support ERP data accuracy and parameter maintenance to ensure effective planning.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements across planning, reporting, and inventory control.
- Support digital transformation projects related to planning and analytics.
- Provide scenario modeling and “what-if” analysis to guide decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 3–5 years of supply chain experience, with focus on inventory management and SIOP.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
