Responsibilities
Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients per physician orders and standards.
Conduct patient assessments and document findings in the medical record.
Operate and troubleshoot ventilators, monitors, and related respiratory equipment.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and care plans.
Monitor patient progress, adjust therapies under protocol, and escalate as needed.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, therapies, and safety.
Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
Document all procedures and outcomes for data-driven performance reviews.
Assist in the development and execution of department metrics and pipelines to forecast demand.
Support on-site training and mentoring for junior staff and students.
Demonstrate adaptability by handling varying shifts and turnover with a growth mindset.
Experience/Qualifications
Active Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in good standing.
Proficient ventilator operation, troubleshooting, and alarm management.
Ability to conduct patient assessments and document findings clearly.
Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize care plans.
Experience in monitoring patient progress and adjusting therapies per protocol.
Strong documentation habits for procedures, outcomes, and performance data.
Ability to mentor juniors, students, and provide on-site training.
Capacity to work on-site, flexible shifts, and adapt to turnover with a growth mindset.
Experience with department metrics, demand forecasting, and pipeline planning.
