Production Control Coordinator

The Production Control Coordinator is an entry-level leadership role responsible for serving as the liaison between the Warehouse Manager and the shop floor. This position helps ensure smooth order flow, accurate picking, and timely movement of work between warehouse, production, quality, customer service, and packing operations. 

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to communicate effectively across multiple departments. This role is designed to relieve workload from the Warehouse Manager by supporting daily production coordination and execution. 

 Key Responsibilities 

• Serve as the primary liaison between the Warehouse Manager and the shop floor processing teams 

• Deliver and distribute pick tickets to the shop floor for order processing 

• Monitor order progress and communicate status updates to relevant departments 

• Perform quality inspections / verification checks to ensure orders are picked to the correct: 

• quantities 

• part numbers 

• order requirements 

• Coordinate with Customer Service to identify and prioritize small orders 

• Ensure small orders are delivered to the pack stations in a timely manner for processing and shipment 

• Help maintain workflow organization between picking, inspection, packing, and shipping 

• Escalate discrepancies, shortages, incorrect picks, or delays to the Warehouse Manager 

• Support documentation accuracy and process compliance throughout the order fulfillment flow 

• Assist with other warehouse coordination and production support tasks as assigned 

Required Qualifications 

• High school diploma or GED preferred 

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy 

• Good communication skills (verbal and written) 

• Ability to work effectively with Warehouse, Shop Floor, Quality, and Customer Service teams 

• Basic computer skills (email, order lookup, data entry, or inventory systems) 

• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 

• Reliable attendance and punctuality 

• Willingness to take initiative in an entry-level leadership/support role 

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) 

• Experience in a warehouse, production, manufacturing, or fulfillment environment 

• Experience handling pick tickets, work orders, or shipping documents 

• Familiarity with quality checks, inventory control, or order verification 

• Experience coordinating workflow between departments
