Rose Assisted Living provides professional, responsive, compassionate care to Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Seniors, and other vulnerable Alaskans in our community. We currently operate three homes in the Wasilla area, guaranteed to meet the emotional, spiritual and physical needs of our residents. We are looking for dedicated, compassionate caregivers to join our team.
If you do not have experience, but a desire to learn, and have a big heart to care for people- we can train you.
We screen applicants with a DRUG TEST; we drug test our employees on a periodic basis.

(Starting Wage: from $15.00-25/hr) Negotiable based on experience and availability.

Qualifications
- Valid motor vehicle operator license
- Pass a drug test
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred) We will train if you have no experience.
- Medication administration: 1 year (Preferred)We will train if you have no experience.
- Tube feeding: 1 year (Preferred) We will train if you have no experience.

Duties and Responsibilities – Personal Care Assistant
- Assist individual with daily living and care skills such as self-care, meal preparation, transportation, etc.
- Assist individual on accessing a variety of activities such as going out to eat, the movies, shopping, etc.
- Works with individual and family in a compassionate and understanding manner.
- Maintain positive and effective communication with all other staff members.
- Redirect problem behaviors (behavioral modification/ behavioral therapy skills preferred)
- Maintain a clean, safe and homelike environment.
Requirements: -
High School Diploma or GED/equivalent; Minimum age - 18 yrs.
Ability to perform multiple lift and transfers- 50 lbs.
Ability to pass State of Alaska Background Check.
Physical ability to lift, lower, and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
Working availability including evenings, and weekends.
