Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) Provider for a full-time, on-site position based in Anchorage, AK. This is a live-in position every Saturday and Sunday, along with fill-ins. In this role, you will provide compassionate care and support to intellectually disabled females with daily living activities, including assisting with personal care, promoting independence, and fostering social engagement. Additional responsibilities include creating a safe and supportive environment, maintaining clear communication with clients and their families, and adhering to care plans and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Compassion and empathy to provide emotional, social, and physical support
- Skills in assisting with daily living activities and promoting independence
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, families, and team members
- Knowledge of safety practices and ability to adhere to care protocols
- High school diploma or GED; CNA certification or similar experience is a plus
- Basic understanding of care for elderly individuals and individuals with disabilities
- Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
