We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented experienced Accounting Manager to join our office staff. This position will be responsible for directing and assisting the accounting staff in maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, including billing, collections, payables, receivables, and title applications. Our ideal candidate requires proficient knowledge of general ledger accounting, sound financial practices, and expert skill levels in reconciliation and preparation of timely financial reports.
Job Responsibilities:
- Treasury Accounting: perform daily bank to general ledger reconciliations and monitor cash balances.
- Accounts Payable: Oversee payables processing to ensure proper classification of expenses and inventory purchases, and coding for credit card charge categorization.
- Accounts Receivable: Oversee daily customer billing process for accurate revenue recognition, reconciliations of accounts receivables balances, and customer prepaid deposits maintenance.
- Month End Financial Close: Verify the accuracy of all monthly transactions that have been entered. Prepare reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, adjusting entries, and reviewing the P&L for timely month-end close.
- Sales Team Support: Review of estimates prepared by sales team and timing of conversion of estimates to invoices. Commissions calculations for sales staff payments.
- Additional ad hoc reporting requested by the executive team.
Qualification Requirements
- 5 years of experience in automotive accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel is a must
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, and general accounting principles (GAAP)
- Excellent analytical skills and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with co-workers and customers.
