Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead a small accounting team and oversee all day-to-day accounting operations.
• Oversee the weekly billing process.
• Support collections by providing managers with timely reports and sending reminders to customers.
• Oversee payables, reimbursable expenses, and credit card payments.
• Oversee sales tax calculations and remittance.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Reconcile bank statements to the general ledger.
• Manage fixed assets maintenance and depreciation entries.
• Handle prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and client deposit maintenance and journal entries.
• Ensure the timely monthly close of financial statements.
• Communicate effectively with the Controller regarding P&L status and bank reporting.
• Prepare audit schedules and complete other projects assigned by the Controller.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Provide guidance and support to the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Conduct performance reviews and support professional development.
• Complete month and end-year processes.
• Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including month-end and year-end close.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and compliance with GAAP.
• Provide valuable financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 6 Years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in managing a full cycle accounting cycle
• Strong working knowledge of Peachtree/Sage and Microsoft Excel preferred
• Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• A CPA license is preferred.
