Cloud Engineer/Security Architect Consultant, Columbia, SC | Hybrid
Schedule: Only 3 days per month onsite
- Must currently reside in South Carolina (No relocation)
- No C2C
- No Visa Transfers
- Must successfully complete background screening, credit check, and obtain CJIS certification
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer/Security Architect to help drive enterprise AWS and Azure strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cloud professional to help modernize and secure statewide cloud infrastructure while working on large-scale cloud migrations and governance initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise AWS & Azure cloud environments
- Support statewide cloud migration initiatives
- Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Develop cloud architecture standards and governance
- Automate cloud operations and improve platform reliability
- Work closely with agencies adopting shared cloud services
- Mentor technical teams and provide architectural leadership
Required Experience
- 10 years in Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, DevOps, or Architecture
- 8 years of Technical Architecture experience
- 5–7 years of AWS (IAM, Organizations, Networking, Cost Management)
- 3–5 years of Azure (RBAC, Azure AD, Networking)
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Enterprise Cloud Architecture & Governance experience
- Experience with Terraform/Infrastructure as Code
- Cloud migrations and platform operations expertise
- Public cloud infrastructure expertise
Preferred
- AWS and/or Azure certifications
- Kubernetes or Docker experience
- DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Software Engineering background
- Experience with ServiceNow, Datadog, Dome9, Aviatrix, CI/CD, security, and cloud automation

The salary range for this position is $175,000 - $190,000.
