Gardener for part time contract (1099) position with growing gardening business.
TLC Gardening Services, LLC is a small business in Henderson County that has served local residents for the last 15 yrs. We are looking for individual contractors to perform gardening duties for homeowners in the county.

- We believe in working towards healthy gardens for beauty and resistance to disease/pests without the use of harsh chemicals while planting to promote a natural environment for birds, insects and wildlife.
- TLC needs gardeners and anyone interested in the management and the eventual ownership of the business.
- Requirements:
- Preferred candidates with be knowledgeable in gardening practices and identifying flowers, shrubs and weeds.
- Skilled in selective pruning practices.
- Must be reliable and honest, able to manage own time and have ability to communicate with clients in professional manner.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate visits as needed and arrive on time. Prioritize work and manage time.
- Pruning shrubs and small ornament trees using proper pruning techniques.
- Planting and transplanting flowers and shrubs.
- Provide recommendations on plants, identify distressed /diseased plants.
- General clean up of garden beds and yards, spreading mulch. Raking leaves and other duties as needed per client.
- Must have reliable transportation for travel to each job site.
- All jobs performed outdoors. Physical labor requires standing, kneeling, bending, shoveling and lifting.
- Basic tools for shoveling, raking, weeding and hand pruning.
- Candidate must have good communication skills and ability to relate in a professional manner with clients.
Candidate must be able to take directions and be flexible with days of work. Seasonal part time work Spring through Autumn with some winter work. All work in Henderson County. Candidate should reside in Henderson county. Great potential for increased opportunities in management and full time work in future.
