Responsibilities
The IRE Platform Developer is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of TLC’s Intelligent Real Estate platform, as well as the responsibilities below:
- Assist in integrating building systems, design models, and operational data into a cohesive platform environment.
- Collaborate with internal teams to apply IRE solutions across projects and client engagements.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies related to smart buildings, building systems, and digital infrastructure.
- Support initiatives that improve project delivery, building performance, and lifecycle value through IRE capabilities.
- Ensure consistency with internal standards, workflows, and best practices for platform development and deployment.
- Assist with testing, validation, and quality assurance of platform functionality and system integrations.
- Contribute to documentation, training materials, and user support for internal adoption of the IRE platform.
- Participate in pilot projects and innovation efforts that demonstrate the value of Intelligent Real Estate to clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in engineering systems, digital platforms, or technology development. Advanced degree programs would be considered equivalent.
- Working knowledge of building systems (mechanical, electrical, controls) and their operational relationships.
- Experience with data integration, databases, or system interfaces is preferred.
- Familiarity with building modeling tools (such as Revit) and their use in data-driven workflows is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies in a practical setting.
