The Electrical Commissioning Specialist will have the opportunity to take ownership of smaller electrical commissioning efforts while receiving support and guidance from experienced Project Managers and Senior Commissioning Agents on larger and more complex building systems. The Commissioning Specialist will perform or assist with commissioning plan creation, design reviews, job progress reports, pre-functional testing, functional performance testing, project close out, and final report creation. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow your experience from design review to functional testing. TLC provides a defined career path and training at all levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in electrical design, construction administration, commissioning, building operations, electrical systems testing, DDC controls, or related technical fields
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations as well as construction procurement and design development processes
• Commissioning software experience such as CxAlloy
• Ability to execute electrical commissioning tasks including plan creation, design reviews, job progress reports, pre-functional testing, functional performance testing, project close out, and final report creation.
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Knowledge in a majority of the following systems:
  • Building automation and controls
  • Electrical distribution systems
  • Emergency power / UPS / generator systems
  • Fire alarm and life‑safety systems
  • Lighting and lighting control systems
  • Low‑voltage and communication systems
  • Renewable energy systems (solar PV, battery storage, etc.)
  • HVAC systems (basic understanding for integration)
• Commissioning certification preferred (ACG CxT/CxA or equivalent)
• LEED accreditation is a preferred
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, engineering technology, or related discipline preferred
