Duties
- Install HVAC control systems including sensors, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), DDC CONTROLS
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings
- Configure and troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage control circuits, ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards.
- Conduct field service activities including system testing, calibration, troubleshooting electrical issues, and performing preventive maintenance on control equipment.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of controls with HVAC equipment such as chillers, boilers, pumps, and fans.
- Utilize tools like ohmmeters, multimeters, and vision inspection systems to diagnose faults and verify system functionality
- Maintain detailed documentation of installation procedures, schematics modifications, calibration data, and service reports for quality assurance.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of hvac sensors, calibration techniques, and mechanical systems related to HVAC controls.
- Industrial electrician experience with a focus on low voltage and high voltage electrical systems; familiarity with E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) principles.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings
- Experience working with building automation HVAC controls.
- Familiarity with calibration procedures using precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Knowledge of sensors—including temperature, pressure, flow—and their integration into control systems for optimal operation.
- Ability to perform field service tasks in manufacturing or industrial settings while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Experience working with high voltage systems safely in compliance with industry standards; military or industrial maintenance background is a plus.
