What You’ll Do
- Lead mechanical design for industrial facilities, including mining and production operations
- Design and oversee systems including:
- Industrial ventilation and dust collection
- Process piping, pumping, and plumbing
- Balance-of-plant and material handling support systems
- Scope project requirements, verify calculations, and validate equipment selection
- Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and architectural teams
- Mentor and support early‑career engineers
- Support construction administration and site visits as needed
- Contribute to project coordination, client interactions, or proposals
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration required
- 8 years of mechanical design experience in heavy industrial or mining environments
- Strong experience leading design efforts and mentoring junior engineers
- Experience leading technical design efforts across disciplines
- Strong communication skills and interest in mentoring others
- Ability to travel occasionally (generally up to :20%)
- Valid driver's license
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and/or Plant 3D preferred
- Previous design experience in mining or industrial facilities
