Responsible for the maintenance of parts, supplies and equipment so that branch processes are performed in a safe, timely and cost-efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Receives requests and requisitions parts for Service and Repair departments primarily. Includes researching correct part numbers. Updates mechanics with parts and materials delivery status.
- Coordinates the receiving of incoming materials and parts. Includes visually verifying the correctness of material and quantity received, checking shipping transactions form to confirm delivery and ensuring that received materials and parts are delivered or pick up in a timely manner.
- Determines the LOB for requisition. Finds the US items number and views on-hand quantities. Includes completing the item maintenance form, issuing inventory and creating, reviewing, and editing the requisition.
- Returns parts and materials to inventory or vendors when needed. Updates system.
- Prepares material for shipment to job sites. Includes coordinating the delivery of all Service, Construction, Repairs and Modernization parts as requested on a timely manner.
- Back up or assists with the yearly physical inventory count and restocking inventory.
- Maintains mechanic tools and major tool inventories and location board. Maintains PPE inventory files.
- Prepares stock material requisitions incidental to the disbursement of parts and materials for all departments. Includes ordering safety equipment, DSA brackets and local structural equipment.
- Reviews all accounts payable on receipt of invoices from vendors.
- Coordinates the repair of tools and the disposal of damaged tools.
- Maintains records of all oxygen and acetylene rental bottles.
- Provides technical assistance relative to part identification, interchangeability and source availability.
- Ensures that the warehouse area is kept clean and neat.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.
Who We Are Looking For
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED (general education degree); or one to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Requires a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicles Report. OSHA certified for the forklift and other warehouse equipment.
- Requires intermediate knowledge of Windows-based computer software, including Excel, and Oracle database software; ability to type at least 40 words per minute, including numbers proficiency; and a working knowledge of general office equipment.
