What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipe Work & Underground Crew position at TK Concrete Inc.?
An Underground Pipework Crew is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground pipelines and utility systems. This includes tasks like excavating trenches, laying pipes, connecting them, and ensuring proper backfill and compaction. They also handle tasks like operating heavy machinery, coordinating with other crew members, and adhering to strict safety regulations.
Must be able to operate a variety of hand and power tools safely.
Safely work in trenches.
Assist in setting/teardown of brace to support side of excavations.
Install all types of water, sanitary sewer, and storm drain piping
Install/adjust manholes, catch basins, valves, and hydrants.
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position such as walk/stand for long periods, lift, push, pull and carry heavy objects.
Reports to: Pipe Work & Underground Crew Foreman, Project Manager, President.
