Duties/Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems and components
- Diagnose and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Read blueprints and technical diagrams
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and local codes
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance
- Communicate with clients to explain issues and provide recommendations
Requirements
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems and tools.
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and manuals
- Excellent communication skills with both customers and team members, and a commitment to maintaining professional conduct.
- Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity.
- Proficiency in using hand-held electronic devices for documenting service and repair work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education/Experience
- HVAC certification or diploma from a technical school (EPA Universal Certification)
- 2-5 years of experience in HVAC installation or repair
