Job Description
TJ’s High Quality Cleaning Services is seeking a dependable, experienced, and motivated Janitorial Team Lead to oversee evening cleaning operations at an educational facility in Lancaster, SC.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work alongside a cleaning crew while ensuring all assigned areas meet company cleaning and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and assist an assigned cleaning crew.
- Assign daily cleaning responsibilities and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Perform cleaning duties alongside team members as needed.
- Inspect classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas for cleanliness.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and report inventory needs to management.
- Address cleaning concerns and communicate updates to management.
- Complete cleaning checklists and end-of-shift inspections.
- Ensure all equipment is properly stored and assigned areas are secured before leaving.
- Maintain employee accountability, professionalism, and productivity.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation and a personal vehicle.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and available for the assigned evening schedule.
- Ability to supervise employees and provide clear instructions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions when management is not present.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Must be physically capable of performing routine janitorial duties, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating cleaning equipment.
