As a key member of our recreational therapy team, you will design and implement activities that cater to their physical, emotional, and social needs, promoting a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and lead recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and outings, to stimulate resident participation and engagement
Develop and maintain a calendar of events and activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents
Assist with special events and celebrations, such as holiday parties, birthdays, and themed activities
Collaborate with the Recreation Therapy Department to identify and address resident needs and preferences
Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation
Assist with inventory management and budgeting for recreational supplies and equipment
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in recreational therapy or a related field is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds; ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
