What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title Insurance Agent/Processor position at TITLE GROUP?
Busy Title Company is seeking an experienced title closer for our Cape Coral office. Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision, 3 years of Real Estate experience in a Law Firm or a Title Company.
Candidate must have the ability to:
- Manage files from opening to post closing (Qualia is our software)
- Draft Closing Disclosures, ALTAs and balance escrow
- Clear title issues with minimal supervision
- Draft seller's documents
- Understand lien searches
- Draft curative documents
- Understand LLC's Operating Agreement and corporation and all necessary documents when dealing with an LLC or a corporation as a Seller or as a Buyer are a plus.
- Ability to understand FIRPTA, requirements as a closing agent and FIRPTA's exemptions and Withholding Certificates.
- Understand Trust and Probate docs.
- Read Surveys and understand encroachments and overlaps
- Conduct Closings
- Familiarity with First American Title Insurance a plus
- Be extremely organized and have undivided attention to detail in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. Strong interpersonal, administrative skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team and be able to prioritize tasks.
- Candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional and polished with excellent customer service skills
- Paralegal Degree or large firm experience or Licensed Title Agent and Notary Public are a plus.
Title Agent Qualifications
- High school diploma required -- college degree preferred
- 3-5 years of title closing/processing experience
- Must be detail-oriented, analytical, and process-driven with excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in Qualia Closing Software a plus
