We're looking for a well-rounded HR Manager to join our team and become the primary HR representative for the company. This is a unique opportunity to step into a broad HR role with the benefit of a long, structured transition period and hands-on training from our current HR Manager.
You'll gain exposure to all areas of HR -- recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits, performance management, payroll, and more. Over time, you'll take ownership of day-to-day HR operations while continuing to partner with leadership to support our people and strengthen our culture.
**What You'll Do**
*Recruitment & Onboarding*
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, draft job descriptions, and manage the recruitment process.
- Coordinate candidate interviews, prepare offer letters, and facilitate a seamless onboarding experience.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, addressing questions, concerns, and workplace issues.
- Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
- Support benefits enrollment, respond to employee inquiries, and liaise with benefits providers.
- Administer leave of absence programs and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist in coordinating performance review processes, tracking goals, and supporting employee development.
- Provide guidance to managers on coaching, feedback, and performance improvement.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Generate reports and analyze HR metrics to support decision-making.
- Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws and company policies.
- Submit quarterly and annual payroll reports, gather documentation for audits.
- 2--5 years of HR experience, ideally in a management role.
- Solid understanding of HR practices, policies, and employment law.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills -- you enjoy working with people at all levels.
- Organized and adaptable, able to balance multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working independently, with the curiosity to learn and the confidence to take ownership over time.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus but not required.
- Pay Range:** $80,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
