The Sales Director is responsible for developing and executing key growth strategies, tactics and action plans required to achieve occupancy growth targets and will serve as an advocate for seniors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Interacts with residents and staff in a professional, friendly, and compassionate manner at all times.
- Greets visitors to the community in a professional and friendly manner.
- Increases occupancy level and revenue production of the community in accordance with marketing and business plans to include completing sales calls and closing sales.
- Sets appointments and conducts one-on-one tours of the community.
- Develops and maintains relationships with, and generates leads through residents, families, and professional referral sources.
- Ensures that each prospective resident receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every prospective resident in a timely manner, maintaining solid product knowledge, and all other aspects of customer service.
- Plans, organizes, and executes community marketing events.
- Ensures the leads database is accurate and current at all times.
- Maintains communication with prospective residents through email blasts, personal emails, phones calls, creating flyers, and recording and sharing videos.
- Uses social media to promote the community.
- Follows up with prospective residents to maintain interest and commitment.
- Professionally represents the community at public and community functions and fosters a positive image of the community.
- Develops a rapport and positive relationship with prospective residents and their family members.
- Works with community staff to ensure the model suite(s) are clean and well maintained.
- On-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week if needed, or on rotation established by the community.
- Follows all OSHA, Fire, Health Department, and safety requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales, preferably in senior living, health care or related field.
- Ability to demonstrate a caring personality with excellent listening skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must have a passion for helping seniors.
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain high ethical standards.
- Competent in organizational and time management.
- Ability to work well under stress, complete assignments accurately, and work independently.
- Effectively communicate in English with residents and other employees.
- Must be proficient in use of computers, with the ability to learn various software.
- Regular attendance is required.
Working Conditions
- May require working with challenging residents.
- Requires interaction with prospective residents and their families, co-workers, and guests.
- Weekend, evening, and holiday work if needed; on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week if needed, or on rotation established by the community.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases and infections.
- May require occasional travel.
