Hourly Pay Rate: $20.50

Position Overview

The Security Operations Center Operator is responsible for prioritizing and coordinating all Communications Center activities in accordance with company policies and procedures. This role ensures efficient daily operations by communicating with officers, responders, and management via radio, phone, and monitoring systems. The Security Operations Center Operator is highly attentive to detail, capable of responding to emergencies, and committed to delivering exceptional internal and external customer support.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Operations Center Operator responds to alarms, emergencies, and suspicious activity.
• Monitor and respond to incoming alerts and video activity based on client protocols.
• Conduct regular status checks to identify and address potential safety hazards or violations.
• Maintain accurate incident records, logs, and confidential information.
• Answer and route inbound phone calls to appropriate contacts.
• Respond to inquiries from employees, clients, or the public as needed.
• Provide clear and timely communication to field staff, supervisors, and management.
• Complete thorough and accurate incident reports.
• Follow established service expectations to ensure compliance with internal and client requirements.
• Stay current on security protocols, communication procedures, and industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly and professionally.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy during high-pressure situations.
• Ability to make sound decisions and follow established procedures with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with security systems, monitoring tools, and dispatching software.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and securely.
• Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in dispatching, call center operations, emergency communications, or security operations.
• Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
• Team-oriented approach with strong situational awareness.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a communications center environment and may require sitting for extended periods, responding to high-stress or emergency scenarios, and monitoring multiple communication systems simultaneously.
