Optometrist needed in Houlton, ME.

Salary and Benefits
- The pay for this position is $140,000 - $170,000 (based on years of experience)
- Fiscal year bonus based on productivity

Responsibilities
- 4 Day Work Week | 100% Outpatient
- 14 – 16 Patients of All Ages Per Day
- Appropriate clinical documentation through their Athena EMR
- Perform vision tests, analyze results and develop a treatment plan.
- Examine eyes using observation, instruments and pharmaceutical agents, to determine visual acuity and perception, focus and coordination and to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities such as glaucoma or color blindness.
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications.
- Prescribe therapeutic procedures to correct or conserve vision.
- Provide pre and postoperative care to patients undergoing eye surgery, for example, examining a patient’s eyes the day after surgery.
- Work closed with primary care providers in the provision of team delivery of healthcare.
- Maintain accurate, timely and quality health records.
- Participate in all quality measures as required.
Requirements
- New Graduates Welcome
- Clear and Active Medical Doctor License in the State of Maine
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Optometry
- Active DEA
