Job description
Titan Ag is seeking a skilled and dependable Sprayer Operator with a Class A CDL to join our team. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining application equipment to apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides to agricultural fields efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have experience in agricultural application, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate sprayer and spreader equipment to apply crop protection products and fertilizers according to agronomic recommendations and regulations.
- Transport agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, and equipment using company vehicles (requiring a Class A CDL).
- Calibrate and maintain application equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Follow proper application procedures and safety guidelines to protect crops, the environment, and personal health.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate application records and logs.
- Communicate effectively with customers, agronomists, and team members to provide excellent service.
- Assist with warehouse operations, loading and unloading products as needed.
- Comply with all company policies, state, and federal regulations related to chemical handling, transportation, and application.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Previous experience operating agricultural sprayers or similar equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of crop protection products and proper application techniques.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor equipment repairs.
- Ability to work extended hours, including weekends, during peak seasons.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
