This role involves serving as a key member of Multidisciplinary Teams, coordinating and conducting case conferences, and providing expertise in special education laws, regulations, and best practices. The successful candidate will collaborate with parents, educators, and community resources, and act as a resource to remove barriers to student success. Strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to teamwork are essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as member and resource to Multidisciplinary Teams for initial evaluations and reevaluations

Coordinate and conduct case conferences in an a manner consistent with federal and state guidelines

Monitor and research best practices in Special Education, disseminating information to appropriate personnel and stakeholders

Serve as a resource for teachers, school personnel and parents

Demonstrate knowledge of Article 7 and Special Programs

Qualifications

Degree in Special Education and Indiana Teaching License

Teaching experience with students with disabilities

Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
