Title I Assistant / Library Media Specialist – 2026–2027 School Year
Location: Tipp City Schools
Position Type: Full-Time (Combination of Two Part-Time Roles) | Classified Staff
Tipp City Schools is seeking a qualified and student-focused individual to serve in a combined role as a Part-Time Title I Assistant and Part-Time Library Media Specialist, for the 2026–2027 school year.
This position supports student learning through targeted reading intervention services and by assisting with the operation of the school library/media center, promoting literacy, technology use, and a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide small group and/or individual reading support to students identified for Title I services
- Monitor student progress and support literacy skill development
- Assist in the daily operation of the library/media center, including circulation and organization of materials
- Support students and staff with technology and research tools
- Promote a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Ohio Educational Aide Permit (or ability to obtain)
- Experience working with students, especially in reading or literacy support, preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality
