Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders and shipping documents
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and accurately, adhering to shipping logistics and trade compliance requirements
- Operate forklifts and order pickers safely to load and unload trucks, stock shelves, and organize warehouse inventory
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400, and inventory management software to track stock movements and update records
- Conduct data entry for shipment documentation, inventory updates, and order processing using Microsoft Office tools when necessary
- Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule pickups, deliveries, and ensure timely order fulfillment for both domestic and international trade
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping & receiving activities, including inbound/outbound logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation
- Support warehouse distribution tasks such as stocking shelves, order picking, packaging products for shipment, and ensuring proper labeling
Skills
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and ERP platforms like AS400
- Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, trade compliance, international trade regulations, and e-commerce fulfillment processes
- Experience operating forklifts, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and calculations related to shipping weights or dimensions
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, carriers, vendors, and customers
- Customer service orientation with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of shipping & receiving operations
