The Associate Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing small-volume accounts, with a focus on customers who fall below the predetermined revenue threshold. This role ensures small accounts receive timely and accurate support, are nurtured effectively, and are positioned for repeatable growth.
The Associate Account Manager owns the full small-account lifecycle, including quoting, sampling coordination, order support, and early-stage project development. The role also plays a key part in identifying opportunities with scale potential and transitioning them to the Account Executive (AE) or Account Manager (AM) teams for continued development. Success requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high volume of tasks with accuracy and follow-through.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and grow small accounts that fall under the predetermined revenue threshold.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned small accounts
- Own quoting, sampling coordination, order follow-up, and early-stage development activities
- Identify long-term growth opportunities and transition accounts to the AE/AM team when appropriate
- Promote local production solutions, where applicable
- Respond to inbound inquiries from small accounts, distributors, end users, and new prospects
- Provide timely product information, order status updates, pricing support, and commercial guidance
- Coordinate with Customer Service, Engineering, Logistics, and Sales leadership to support customer needs
- Accurately document all customer interactions, quotes, and account details in the CRM
- Prepare quotes and proposals for small-volume opportunities
- Track and report on small-account performance to Sales Management (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
- Support sampling programs to promote adoption of TiMOTION products
- Maintain accurate account records, pricing details, and communication history in CRM
- Work closely with the SDR to align on small-account qualification and customer handoffs
- Collaborate with the AE/AM team to transition accounts exceeding the $15K threshold
- Share customer insights, pricing feedback, and early market signals gathered from small accounts
- Participate in sales meetings, as needed, customer events or trade shows where small-account prospects are present

Education/Experience
- Minimum 2-year degree required
- 1–2 years of experience in inside sales, B2B sales, account management, or customer support role desired
- Experience in manufacturing, motion products, or technical sales is a plus
